Machu Picchu, the ancient Incan civilization set on top of the Andean mountains was said to be used as a secret ceremonial city. Its construction of stones precisely sculpted to fit one on top of the other, some weighing over 50 tons, is a wonder to behold. The mystery of what the site was really used for and how it was built still lingers in the air.

Peru also has other outstanding wonders such as Lake Titicaca, one of the largest lakes in South America; Cuzco, the enchanted city full of life and festivity with activities for all ages; Lima the capital known as “The City of King’s”; colonial churches and museums with exhibits from the Incan Empire to present day, providing ancient pottery, textiles, pre-Hispanic gold & silver work from colonial & republican periods. And do not forget the famous Nazca Lines that went unnoticed for many years until airplanes came about - the sixty mile long and five mile wide plain with its mysterious lines and geometric patterns drawn in the sand.
