Tanganyika Christian Refugee Service, Tanzania

The Tanganyika Christian Refugee Service (TCRS) is the development and refugee relief arm of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT). TCRS is the largest non-governmental organization working with refugees in the East African country. As an implementing partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Food Program, TCRS is involved in the care and maintenance of refugee camps, water and sanitation, primary and secondary education, peace and reconciliation, and environmental advancement. The ELCT is a member of the Christian Council of Tanzania, a CWS partner in Africa.
