Coralia was formed by Carolina Rodriguez, who worked for years for the big textile factories in Bolivia. This meant twelve hour shifts that precluded family and the pay was so low that she often had to skip lunch in order not to spend away her earnings…the result? A commitment to creating a better option for other women and this she has done. Coralia workers are paid a fair wage and they are also provided with a hot lunch. They never work more than eight hour shifts and frequently have the option of working from home. They are supported if they choose to pursue further education. The women’s hopes resolve around keeping steady work, saving money and one day owning their own micro-enterprise & becoming leaders in their own right.
