In the south of Bolivia, men and women work in mining settlements. This mines are little more than holes in the ground and often collapse, killing and injuring many. Life expectancy is 45 years. The female miners and the wives of miners face different problems. The first are very poor and working in the horrendous conditions that in many cases, killed or crippled their husbands.
