Siwok Crafts is a socio and ecologically sustainable business that produces crafts with the Wichí Indian communities and urban poor of N. W. Argentina. Although for the past 20 years it has been independent, it has close contacts with the social programme of the local Anglican Diocese. Work was started in 1980 and now gives a living income to more than 100 Wichi families and more than 40 urban families. This work prevents Indians migrating to the towns where they lose their health, education, language, culture, and self respect.
