Made in Armenia Direct (MIAD), a seven year old company, works with over 50 skilled artisans in Armenia.  The goal of  MIAD is to provide a mechanism for artisans and their families to live with dignity in Armenia while sharing their quality products with the global community.  All artisans are independent agents working individually or in cooperatives and while there are no fair trade regulations in Armenia, MIAD follows comparable fair trade rules.  New artisans in remote villages are also being trained by MIAD’s staff and are experiencing an improved lifestyle.
